E-TRANSFER: Send the Centre an e-transfer to: admin@citizenscounselling.com  Please include in the message of the transfer that this is a MONTHLY DONATION or ONE-TIME DONATION, and send us an email if you would like a tax receipt.
  • If donating online isn’t what you want, please send us a cheque at 941 Kings Road Victoria, BC, V8T 1W7or contact the Centre to pay by cash or credit card.

Third Party Fundraising

Third Party Fundraising includes everything from hosting your own fundraising event (garage sale, dinner, swim-athon…) to selling a product or service – and donating a portion of the proceeds to Citizens’ Counselling Centre.

This can be a great way to do good and have fun doing it. We have online tools through CanadaHelps for tracking, promoting and receipting events that we’d be very happy to use to help make your event easy to organize and manage.  The tax receipt for the donation of the proceeds from third party events such as a garage sale or dinner show is issued to the person(s) who donates the funds.

Publicly Traded Securities

  • Real Estate,
  • Stock in Privately Owned Companies
  • Tangible or Intangible Personal Property
  • bonds, mutual funds or life insurance policies in any amount.

Many donors choose this method as it reduces the amount of tax required on capital gains. Citizens’ Counselling Centre will typically sell or transfer the asset immediately and use the proceeds to support its mission.

Planned Giving

  • Leave a Gift in Your Will - designate a specific gift or a portion of your estate to Citizens’ Counselling Centre.
  • Life Insurance Policies - name Citizens’ Counselling Centre as the beneficiary
